If a problem occurs during the service you booked on Pwiic, such as damage to property or injury, you can rely on the AXA insurance provided through Pwiic. Here’s how to activate insurance and file a claim:
Conditions to Activate Insurance:
- Provision and Protection Fees Paid: The AXA insurance can only be activated if the provision and Pwiic protection fees have been paid before the service begins. These fees ensure the service is covered in case of disputes or damages.
- Dispute Opened within 7 Days: The service requester must open a dispute on the platform within 7 days after the service if an issue arises. Insurance can only be activated after opening a dispute, as long as the provision remains blocked on the platform.
How to File a Claim:
- Gather Evidence: If there has been material or bodily damage, you must gather proof (photos, videos, testimonies) to support your claim. This evidence will be reviewed when opening the insurance claim.
- Process through Pwiic: The service provider, in case of an issue, can initiate the insurance process through their Pwiic profile. Pwiic support is also available if needed. The provider is responsible for submitting the necessary documents to activate the insurance. He can file a claim via this link.
- Coverage: The AXA insurance covers material and bodily damages within the limit specified by the insurance terms. The blocked provision will be used to cover the €300 deductible. If the provision is insufficient, the service provider will need to pay the remaining balance.
- Exclusions: The insurance does not cover dissatisfaction with the service or poor quality of work. Only physical damages are considered.
Resolving a Dispute:
Once the claim has been filed, Pwiic acts as a mediator to facilitate communication between the service requester and provider and to help find a resolution. If an agreement is reached, the funds can be released accordingly. If no agreement is made, Pwiic will make a final decision based on the evidence provided.
