How does it work for a service requester?
(See below for service providers)
- Post a request: If you need a service, you can post a request by sending a Pwiic with the hashtag #NeedHelp. You can specify the nature of the service, add details (such as deadlines and location), and PwiicBot will connect you with qualified service providers.
- Receive and modify offers: After posting your request, PwiicBot will match you with qualified providers nearby. These providers will send you offers, either directly proposing a price or suggesting a visit if an on-site evaluation is needed. The offer can be modified during the process with your agreement if additional work is required, making it flexible to adapt the offer even if needs change mid-service.
- Select a service provider and use the DIALOG chat: When you receive offers, you can review them and communicate with the service providers through the integrated DIALOG chat. This allows you to ask all the necessary questions and discuss details easily. Once you choose a provider, you select their offer directly on the platform. At this point, a provision and Pwiic protection fees are added and paid to ensure the service proceeds smoothly.
- Payment and blocking of the provision: As soon as you select a service provider, the provision and Pwiic protection fees are blocked on the platform. You can release the provision at any time, for example, partially, if the provider needs to purchase materials to begin the work. It is recommended to discuss directly with the provider when and how the provision will be released. Note: the provision and protection fees must be paid before the start of the service, otherwise, it won’t be covered.
- Cancellation of a service: If you need to cancel a service after accepting a provider's offer, it is possible. However, if the work has already started, the provider might refuse the cancellation. Clear communication is crucial before making any decision.
- Completion of the service and release of the provision: Once the service is completed, you validate the quality of the service. The payment is then released to the provider in an irreversible manner. After the provision is released, Pwiic no longer intervenes.
- Disputes: If there is an issue with the service, you must report it to the provider and refuse to release the provision. You must choose a reason for refusal from the list and propose the desired solution (e.g., a refund). If you requested a refund and it is justified, the provider can directly refund you through the "PROVISION" tab. If damages occurred, the provider can open an AXA insurance claim. If there is a disagreement about the solution, the Pwiic team will intervene to help resolve the issue.
How does it work for a service provider?
- Offer a service:
If you want to offer your services, you can send a Pwiic using the hashtag #GiveHelp. However, to receive service requests via the hashtag #NeedHelp, you must first define your skills in your profile. This includes adding photos, detailed descriptions, and specifying the maximum distance you're willing to travel. Additionally, you can rent out your work tools (such as lawnmowers or ladders) and monetize them by sending out Pwiics with the hashtag #Lend. - Respond to requests and set your offers:
PwiicBot will send you Pwiics that match your skills. When you receive a request, you can either make a price offer or request a visit to evaluate the work if needed. The price you indicate in your offer is yours to keep fully; Pwiic takes no commission on the amount of your service. The Pwiic protection fees are paid by the requester and added to the offer you make.
When you withdraw your earnings through your Pwiic wallet, there may be withdrawal fees. Stripe charges around €2 per withdrawal. To minimize these costs, you can group your withdrawals to reduce the charges. Moreover, depending on the legal requirements, Pwiic may be required to withhold professional taxes. For example, in Belgium, a mandatory 10.7% withholding tax applies to individuals. This deduction helps avoid additional taxes at the end of the year. - Use the DIALOG chat:
After sending your offer, you can use the DIALOG chat to communicate with the requester. This helps refine the service details and build a relationship of trust with the client. - Wait for the provision confirmation:
Before starting the service, ensure that the requester has paid the provision and Pwiic protection fees. Until these amounts are blocked on the platform, the service is not covered by the Pwiic protection system. Do not begin the work until you receive this confirmation. - Service delivery and provision management:
You perform the service in accordance with the accepted offer. In general, the release of the provision occurs at the end of the service, but it can be adjusted based on needs. For example, if an intermediate payment is necessary for the purchase of materials or additional services, you can request a partial release during the service. The provision system allows you to be paid quickly while securing your services, and you also have the option to negotiate a progressive release based on the progress of the work. - Cancellations and managing modifications:
If the requester wishes to cancel a service, they can send you a message about it, and you can refund the provision partially or fully via the "PROVISION" tab. If the work has started, you have the right to refuse the cancellation, but in other cases, it is advised to accept to avoid unnecessary disputes. If you cannot reach an amicable agreement, the Pwiic team will intervene to help resolve the issue. - Premium service provider:
As a Premium provider, you enjoy several benefits. For example, you can respond to an unlimited number of Pwiics. In contrast, non-Premium providers are limited in the number of Pwiics they can respond to (maximum 5 per month and only if there are no more than 3 responses from other providers). This allows Premium providers to increase their visibility and access more opportunities on the platform, helping you secure more bookings.
