Complete Process of a Pwiic Service Request
- Publishing a Pwiic (#NeedHelp):
The service requester publishes a Pwiic specifying their needs using the hashtag #NeedHelp (e.g., plumbing, gardening, pet sitting, etc.). This post can include details such as location, service description, and deadlines. - Receiving Offers:
Service providers nearby with the necessary skills receive the request and can respond by making an offer. Each provider can either send a price offer or ask additional questions via the DIALOG chat to clarify the service details. - Discussing with Providers via DIALOG:
Before accepting an offer, the service requester can communicate with potential providers using the DIALOG chat. This allows for clarifying the terms of the service and gathering necessary information before making a decision. The requester can compare provider profiles, reviews, and offers. - Accepting Offers and Payment of Provision:
Once ready, the requester can accept one or more offers depending on their needs (for example, selecting both a plumber and a tiler if multiple tasks are required). When an offer is accepted, the requester pays the provision along with the Pwiic protection fees through the platform. Payments outside of Pwiic are prohibited; violating this rule could lead to sanctions, including account suspension. - Service Execution:
The provider performs the service according to the agreed-upon terms. The requester can monitor the service through the platform and remain in contact with the provider via the DIALOG chat for any needed adjustments or clarifications during the service. - Requesting Provision Release:
The provider requests the release of the provision upon completion of the service or when an interim payment is required (e.g., to purchase materials). The requester must approve this request, releasing the funds. The release can be partial or full, depending on the service's progress. - Cancellation of a Service:
If the requester wishes to cancel the service after accepting an offer, they must inform the provider via messaging. The provider can then offer to refund the provision. However, if the service has already started, they can refuse the refund and propose, for example, a partial refund. If the cancellation is accepted, the provision will be refunded to the bank card used for the payment, excluding the Pwiic protection fees. If the requester and provider cannot reach an agreement, the Pwiic team will review the case and make a decision based on the situation (for example, if a refund is requested because the provider is not meeting the agreed deadlines or is not responding, the service will be canceled and the provision refunded). - Modifying an Already Accepted Offer:
If the conditions of the service change (for example, if additional or unforeseen work is required), the provider and requester can agree to modify the initial offer. This can be done before the service begins, during the service, or at the end. This modification must be approved by both parties, and a new provision must be paid to cover the additional costs. In case of a modification of more than 20%, for a service that is not yet completed, it is essential to immediately pay the remaining balance of the provision to remain covered by Pwiic protection. - Disputes:
In case of a disagreement between the requester and the provider (e.g., if the service was not properly performed or if damages were caused), the requester can refuse to release the provision and must propose a solution from the suggested list (e.g., correction of anomalies, a refund, or the provider opening a claim with their AXA insurance if damages occurred). As long as the dispute is open, the provision remains blocked. Pwiic acts as a mediator to help both parties find a solution. If no agreement is reached within 10 days, Pwiic will make a decision based on the evidence provided by both parties and will decide fairly.
Advantages of this Process:
- For the Requester:
The provision ensures that the funds are secured before the service starts, offering peace of mind regarding payment. The protection fees guarantee mediation and assistance in case of disputes. - For the Provider:
The provision system ensures the provider is paid as soon as the service is validated, reducing delays in receiving payment. Additionally, it prevents the need for chasing payments and ensures that the service is properly covered through Pwiic's insurance and support systems.
